Re: Interests in REAL fur booties?

I think it's a great idea, and my baby wears fur boots made from seal/rabbit/moosehide (so do I, for that matter), but I probably wouldn't buy from you, just because it's really popular around here and I can get them from local people/family/friends. Not a slight on you, I promise.

i think it's an excellent idea! if i could swing the $ part, i'd totally buy from you!

i go both ways on fur, but in this case, you're not killing critters to make baby shoes, but re-purposing what has already been done for something good. also, there are many people who live in areas with extremely cold winter temps, and the warmth of real fur and wool simply cannot be duplicated with synthetic materials (just from my own experience)

Nice upcycling idea. Creative and certainly warm for booties. My kids are too old, but wanted to say I think it is a nice idea to use those old coats that would otherwise be trashed.

I think it's awesome. I would NEVER buy them if they were "new" fur but repurposing the coats is great. You could charge a lot more but I would pay maybe $30 for infant size and $45 for toddler size (this would be with leather outer and for the toddler size would need to be anti skid bottoms).

id love to see the end result! I live in Texas but we are planning to move up north think this would be a neat idea to keeping them out of the landfill! Id prob atleast donate them to the super poor that live outside before id toss them
