I've been updating my post on page 2. I think I'm doing pretty well, all things considered. I've been wanting to spend lately (because I've been stressed and I got some money from my grandma's estate that's calling to me). I am headed out this afternoon to take the kids to the recycling center, the library, and the grocery store. I still need to make a shopping list, and I really don't want to take all the kids, but DH is super tired, so I need to take them so he can rest. I always end up buying things I shouldn't when I take them all because they stress me out ()

I was planning on having a no spending day since I'm not leaving the house, but it's my son's bday tomorrow and the girls went with dh to pick out some gifts for him. Plus, I purchased our backpacks from Lands End with the sale they had going on today. I'm not good at having no spending days! At least it was budgeted for.

5/9 so far are $0, which I am thrilled about. I am NOT logging gas here because gas is within budget and not a trouble area, but am logging groceries because we go over a lot.

3-5. $1.25 bus for DS, $11 gas in motorcycle, $28 gas in my car, $15 McD for bfast before soccer game, $10 grocery, $2 redbox movies, $4.50 on ???
6. $1.25 bus and DH forgot to take the movies back so $2 more
7. $7 waterbottles, $7.50 grocery store, $10 target, $34 school pics, $15 lunch
8. $10 subway
9. $44 and $54 gas, $31 tail light, $52 sams club for nuts and random things, $2 mc donalds, $12 at a tag sale for ebay items

hopfully my tag sale finds sell on ebay and I at least make my money back!

I spent $2 today on a tip for an eye brow wax. I had a gift card for the salon for the wax so I just had to tip. I was planning on getting a mani/pedi too but ended up canceling those appointments. I still need a mani and pedi (I may try to give myself the pedi) but the salon my gift card is for is pricey. I figure I can make it stretch further by just getting my eye brows done there and going to a nail salon for a less expensive mani and pedi.

Thank goodness I started that one! 7. $104 for utilities, $25 for farmers market, $25.xx from Christmas budget at Michael's. Major clearance stuff going on, plus bought some things that I am going to paint for Christmas presents for DS1. $21 over the food budget. Sigh. 8. $3 from the house budget for quart size storage bags to finish off the consignment sale items. 9. $46.20 at the consignment sale. I just grabbed some cash from the clothing and Christmas envelopes, I have to figure out exactly how much came from each one... Especially since a lot of the items weren't clothes or intended to be Christmas presents I'm going to be honest with myself and figure out exactly where I went over and how much. Total over budget this month: $18.25 $39.25+$?? at consignment sale.

There were other things at the consignment sale that I wanted, however, I told myself that I could live without them until the 50% off sale. Oh, I hope I can restrain myself at the 50% off sale on Saturday (or even better, keep myself from even going! lol)

All things considered, I haven't gone TOO far off budget. I've turned my post into more of an accountability post than 0 spend. I have to write down exactly what I spend, even if it's budgeted/cash.
