I am just tired of feeling like there arent enough hours in the day, or days in the week. Esp being summer, there are things we want to do - some fun, some not - but they all have to be crowded into the weekends. I am always exhausted on Sunday nights! It doesnt help that DH works late, like home-after-bedtime late, 3-4 days a week and now theres an extra late day. Permanently. And for what i can see, no financial benefit. Its not reeeeeally that big a deal but it is mentally tough.
And i feel guilty for complaining about it all.
This! I feel like I spend all weekend trying to catch up on stuff that didn't get done during the week, just to turn around and start all over again!

I've pretty much given up on housework until the kids go back to school. Maybe then I can get something done again!

Housework? We're supposed to be doing housework? Oh crud!

I am getting my break, sorta. Celebrating a dear friend's bachelorette party next weekend... spa/dinner/nightout/hotel deal for the wedding party. DH works all weekend, so I did have to find an overnight sitter (auntie), will spend all week frantically trying to remember what to pack, and will drive 1 hour in one direction (to auntie) and one hour in the other (to party).
But it's soooooo going to be worth it!

YES! Dh and I are separated and I have the girls 100% of the time when I'm not at work. He takes them to gymnastics twice a week and I drive straight from work to pick them up. I leave the house at 6:45 every morning and we get home at 6/6:30. By the time we get dinner and homework done, I am exhausted!

My house is on the market so it has to be show ready whenever we leave. I just try to clean as I go everyday and then do more on the weekends. I'm a little afraid of what it would look like if I didn't have to keep it clean! My one splurge is that I pay to have my huge yard maintained. There is no way I could add that chore on and I would probably injure myself anyway if I did!

I desperately need some more me time but I have terrible mommy guilt

It happens a lot. Maybe it's time to get a helper. Even just for a month.

Re: Anyone else getting burned out?

I'm getting worn out too. It seems like there is never a freakin day off! It doesn't help that when I'm at work, I hear other mothers talking about how they just laid around all day or stayed in their pajamas (all of them live with their in -laws).... makes me want to .
It would be so nice to just have time to do laundry AND dishes in the same day, ya know?
