ok ladies. I asked the hubs to pick up an early detection test for me so that I could test since I am so anxious to find out. (af is due saturday, thought it was friday but it is actually saturday) He comes home with the right brand of test (first response) but the wrong type (rapid results). The test that he got specifically states that it is to be taken on the first day of your missed period. I took one anyways and it was negative. Do you think that chances are the test was correct and i am not pregnant or do you think that since I took it three days before my missed period then that is why it could be negative?

I would say wait and test again, even early detection tests only have a 47% or similar acuracy rate before your missed af....so you still have a chance mama, it just depends on when implantation happened (if you are preggo.....fx fx fx) and how much hcg has been released in your system.....ex I'm regular with dd1 I tested pos at 4 days after af was late, same with my angel baby but this baby pos at 8dpo way before missed af, so it can vary baby to baby......here's to fx for you!

Thank You! I will hang onto my hope all the way up until af shows I am going to stop and pick up the right test today and see if that one will detect anything!! Here's hoping!

ETA: AFM...I think we have sore boobies coming on. That is always my first sign. I just took my bra off for bed & totally want to put it back on. I NEVER want to put it back on. ok...I'm beyond nervous!

AFM: FF says I am 7dpo and I started to spot today so I sure hope AF isn't showing her ugly head early....

Waiting to O for me too, darn AF. I knew it was coming though. Just have to get through this cycle and then I can go to the doc as it will have been an official calendar year of TTC, sigh. Copper IUD came out September 4 last year.
Last time I went though and talked about the same problem I got nowhere. I had conceived three time sin that period though, just none had stuck for longer than 5 weeks. This time I have nothing, nada. Maybe that will help me get somewhere. I am due my Pap as well. We have them every three years.

QOTW: I have a 6 year old boy. He is in public school. It's winter so he has been in school since Feb. December-Feb are our summer holidays. School here is in 4 distinct terms. Kindergarten (which my 4 year old is in) has the same terms as school

SO I tested yesterday and nothing but I got this today! I made my half blind DH get up at 4 a.m. to look at it and even he saw it! I never get a BFP early so hoping its a keeper!
