To get the benefits of belly binding, you wear the binder of your choice all day for at least 10 days, preferably 30-40 days.

Xing fingers on the job for you guys!

Oh, wish I'd have thought to do a placenta print, too! Dang it.

BUT- I'm taking the capsules. I was too squirmish to do it myself, but one df and my sis did it themselves and were not grossed out. Anyhoo, I paid $140 for it and feel REALLY HAPPY I did. I think it is keeping my hormones level and preventing the anxiety I usually have postpartum.

Starting when? Should I bring mine to the birth center?

Actually you paint it and just turn it where the cord is facing downward and use the placenta as the top of the tree and the cord as the trunk.

I am having mine encapsulated right now so I'm not going to be doing it that way.

Oh... and I had stuff ready for a placenta smoothie so if I bled it would have helped to stop it.

I put mine on morning of Day 2 or 3, when my blood flow has slowed down some, because it's not real fun to pull up and down 50 times when you need to change your pad more frequently in the first day or 2. I wear it all day for at least 6 weeks, then I wear it under any clothes that make my tummy squish up or out funny.

I can already wear my 'fat pants', with all my maternity panys put away. I'm really hoping to be back to my regular jeans by the time the fall weather hits, as I have no fat jeans.
