Look what I found
These 2 little kittens were playing along side a dirt road when Bug and I were going for a drive to look at the deer. I pulled over, because I didn't want to run them over. They both came running up to me and I had to take them home. Someone obviously dumped them out there because they are only a couple months old and there are no houses any where near where I found them. They are definitely used to being inside and even used the litter box I bought for the last night on the way home. They aren't feral cats and there were no other cats around. I sat there for about 10 minutes to see if there was any mama around since she probably would have come with the way they were meowing. Any the ate the dry cat food that we gave them at MIL's house, since I had to figure some way to get them into the house with my spazoid dog.

aww... love me some baby kitties!
You know, it wouldn't hurt to call your humane society and find out if they'll help you out with neutering and shots due to the circumstances.

Re: Look what I found
Found out today (it was pretty dark by the time we got home to see), we have Elmo, a little boy on the left, and his sister, Cookie (Monster) on the right. My 2 1/2 year old named them and they have a red collar for Elmo and a blue on for Cookie.
And my dog is not happy with me right now, because I've got them set up in her kennel (xl kennel so they have room to roam and use the litter box) while we're not home. They went right to the litter box when I put it in there so they were obviously house kittens

Re: Look what I found
Very cute! I've been seeing more cats around our farm lately but none that are friendly.

Re: Look what I found
Heart breakers!
I always think its splendid luck to find a kitten. I've always wanted to be one of those people who happen upon one in a wood pile or something, but I never have. |

Re: Look what I found
I didn't become allergic to short hair cats until I was 16 and staying at my friend's sisters place for the weekend. I was fine Friday and Saturday but come Sunday morning, my eyes were itching and my nose was a firehose, running so badly. So far, these 2 haven't bothered me and they have been curling up on me in the evening when I put Bug to bed. so crossing my fingers that it stays that way. I can't tell if they will will long hair or short, but their fur is like a giant fuzz ball, and not a sleek, smooth fur like I see in a lot of short haired kittens.

They look like domestic shorthairs to me. Tuxedo kitties! My last three cats have been tuxedo short hairs. They are always puff balls in the beginning.
Honestly everyone I know who has had long haired cats say they are less allergic to them than short hairs. I don't know why. Here is my little puff ball (the little grey one). He's now big oaf who makes me crazy. But his coat is nice a smooth.

Aww how sweet! How nice of you to save them. We have 4 cats that were all found outside.
