Re: Coconut Oil!

We had a jar of crap coconut oil that I didn't know was crap and then I got a jar of virgin cold pressed organic coconut oil and I'm just in love! I've put it on my daughters creases, on the friction burn on her neck =( learning to do a back carry. on my legs, on my face, on my fiances elbows. Heck, he put a finger in and stuck it in his mouth! It smells SO good!

How do you use it for cradle cap?

Re: Coconut Oil!

We used it as the oil to pop the popcorn, but never as a topping...

Re: Coconut Oil!

We use it in the bedroom lol

I love to cook pancakes with it. I use it for DD's excema, diaper rashes, and put it in the dog's bath. This might be super weird but on days that I don't shower, I wash up...I use it on a dry washcloth to wash my girly bits with rather than soap! Also, it removes temporary tattoos and face paint like a charm!

Re: Coconut Oil!

Since we're on the topic, should you try to limit the number of times it melts and solidifies?
Like will it not be as good if it goes through the transition too many times? (I was thinking about how every time you reheat food it gets less and less appealing lol)

Put a small amount on hair wet it, and rub in with a baby hairbrush/or toothbrush. rinse out!

Re: Coconut Oil!

I love coconut oil. I use it for everything. I have a jar in my LO'd bedroom to use as a diaper rash ointment and moisturizer. I have several jars in my pantry and use it for most of my cooking!

Re: Coconut Oil!

My DD's pedi actually recommended we use coconut oil on her (extremely minor) cradle cap if we want to help lessen it. haha, I was so surprised, usually when I tell people what I use coconut oil for I get the STRANGEST looks.
