I'd never heard of this. There's very little info online. What distinguished it as a posterior tongue tie? We had Silas's frenulum clipped and that seemed to help some. But of the little info I found, he has many of the symptoms. Most notably the unlaching, gagging, reflux.

There is a band around the tongue that causes baby to not latch because the tongue cant lift up in the back.

Nursing is good, have to supplement though with some formula due to her not gaining enough weight, lack of fat in donor and my milk. My supply is not enough yet but we are working it out. I'm nursing, then bottle, then nursing, then pumping. Getting about 1.5 oz pumped. Empty breast equals more fat..my mantra!

Just had a second revision of my son's tongue tie three days ago because the first one didn't get it all. There is great info in the group about necessary aftercare to prevent reattachment.
