Re: Blessed with children, Struggling for more Week of August 13th
Hi Ladies! I've been MIA - big kids on vacation, hanging with the little one, trying to get a milion things done before school starts again!
This month I have been using OPK, which I never have before, and it is so strange. Sometimes it gets a little darker (not darker than the control), but then disappears again. I am currently day 22, so one would think we are way past when I would have o'd. But, my last miscarriage was end of July, so maybe this cycle is just off? I had heard that you can be more fertile the month after the miscarriage, so of course, we were hoping. What do you think? |

Re: Blessed with children, Struggling for more Week of August 13th
School I have never used OPK's. Sorry I am of no help.
I forgot to mention in my last post. I have been spotting/bleeding since Wednesday last week. I don't have a ton of Mama cloth so normally this would mean that I am getting sore about now. However I recently got Natracare disposable pads (I don't do tampons), and I must say, I will ONLY use those for disposable pads from now on! They are great! No irritation which is shocking for me.

Sorry for being MIA, I have had a killer migrane and can't seem to kick it.

Re: Blessed with children, Struggling for more Week of August 13th
Hi everyone!
Sorry I just posted the thread and ran- it has been very busy and I am sort of not focused on TTC at the moment (weird huh?) Tina- I'm so sorry to hear about your migraine. I also get them so I know how horrible it is when one doesn't go away easily. Do you have prescriptions for it? I've taken a lot of different meds, but Excedrin Migraine usually can help me through- if not, I rely on the prescriptions. Carissa- That sounds like a good plan. I am so excited for you!!! Jennifer- Sorry you are still spotting- that must be frustrating. I am excited for you to do the FET- I will probably be with you in September ![]() School- Usually when I do OPKs they are like that- not quite positive, then really negative, but then I usually get a blaring positive after a couple days of very negative. As you use them you will start to see a pattern. My biggest sign is the change in my CM- I've learned to "read" that well enough that I can usually test with an OPK just when I see the change in my CM and then I get my + OPK that day- it saves on the cost of OPKs since I use a digital most of the time now. AFM: It has been a weird month- My husband keeps getting frustrated with me because I don't seem interested in TTC this month- but who can blame me? We have been through so much- I have friedns that now have had their 2nd baby in the same time that we have been trying for our 2nd. It feels pretty crazy- I also feel so distant from the reality of ever getting pregnant- that I just can't imagine the effects it would have on our family. I still go back and forth thinking that we have a great family and maybe we shouldn't add to it. Despite all that- we still have our 8 embryos- which seems like an obscene amount of babies. We tried naturally this cycle- though I haven't used OPKs so I have no idea if I have O'd or not yet- we just tried every other day or every 3rd day- I also used my moon cup because I was too lazy to buy more instead cups. I was definitely only half-hearted this month. Also- not feeling like being too chatty here except for today ![]() I had my u/s CD7 (I think I am CD 21 now) and the polyp is gone- so we are planning to do the FET September 14th as long as my body cooperates. |
