Paypal "sending" limit?

Anyone know about getting "verified" through paypal? It requires linking your bank account to your paypal account which I have not wanted to do but I just got a message saying I'm getting close to my "sending" limit
"This is the maximum amount of money you can send or use for purchases before you need to become Verified."

We use paypal for lunch accounts for the older kids and other gift buying so I did not get this close on diaper buying alone! I'm still a ways off but just am wondering what exactly this entails and what the process looks like. TIA!

They ping your bank account with two small amounts (under $1 each) and you report back how much they were. Easy peasy.

If your PP balance is not enough to cover a transaction then it will go to the bank acct or CC if you choose. You will always be notified beforehand.

They just need your routing and checking acct numbers.

Mine has been verified for years with no issues. Never any unrequested charges or anything else.
