Re: Under 2 years apart?

Our first 2 are 23 months apart, 2nd 2 are 17m apart. I liked it. 3&4 are going to be the biggest spacing we have...DS3 is already 15m and we are not trying for a couple more months. Maybe I'll have a chance to not have 2 in diapers again lol I would say that was the only real negative for me

Re: Under 2 years apart?

My first 2 are 13 months apart, and I won't lie, that was a rough 11 months of 2 under 2. But after that first year, everything got much easier than if we had a bigger gapand I would happily do it again, though personally wouldn't suggest that it is for everyone because that first year was the hardest year of my life.

Our 3rd is 27 months younger and it's been super easy. I worried she wouldn't bond as well with her brothers since they are so close, but that hasn't been the case at all.

Our next will be at least 25 months apart (currently ttc) I would have preceded closer to 18 months but it didn't happen.

We have had zero jealousy issues, the "older baby " has always loved and been excited for the new baby.

We read books play on the floor or get out special toys the first few weeks of nursing, after that they don't really care and just do their own thing

Re: Under 2 years apart?

#2 and #3 are exactly 16 months apart, and then #4 came just a bit less than 2 yrs later. I personally loved the spacing- especially the 16 months apart. It was a lot of work, but honestly I had more trouble as they got older and started beating the crap out of each other than when they were babies.

Re: Under 2 years apart?

My first two girls were 16 months apart, then #3 was exactly two years after #2. #4 is three years younger than #3 and #5 is the longest gap of five years! We never had any problems related to spacing, they have all handled the transition well. It was a little hard having three 3 and under but now it's great having them close together since my girls are 11 and 12 and help out a lot and get along great.

Re: Under 2 years apart?

Our oldest is 4 years older than our son. They are now 5 & (just turned) 15 months. I am due with baby #3 in less than 3 weeks to there will be around a 16 month difference between the two youngest.

Re: Under 2 years apart?

Age difference between my 2nd and 3rd were 18 months and the difference between 3rd and 4th were 22 months. It really wasn't that bad. It wasn't a big deal to them. They still got the love and nurturing they needed. It may be double the dipes, but your changing them anyway so not really that bad.

I ended up having 4 kids ages 5 and under when ds was born. I'm glad I had them spaced closer. It is much easier to go and do things with them being at the same or similar ages/heights/interests.
