Diaper Swappers

Hey mamas! I am looking for some ideas for house rules. I have a 4 yo, so I don't want an extensive list

. I was thinking like obey your parents, speak kindly,etc. I am not looking for chore charts. How do you display yours, and what are they? Thanks!

Coupled along with house rules, a friend of mine would always boil down behaviors/misbehavior with "making good choices." Obviously you are always telling the kid what you do/don't want them to do, but when they CHOOSE (and choose incorrectly) its not memorizing the list of rules, its..."why are you in time out" because "I made poor choices." I like this method, because it is contstantly reminding the child that they have the choice. And it extends to any desired/undesired behavior....why are you cold, because I CHOSE not get my coat like mommy said.

I am thinking something along the lines of
1) have fun
2) listen with your ears
3) use your words
4) keep hands and feet to yourself
5) obey mommy/daddy, 1st time

our only hard and fast rule is that you must wear underwear to sit on the furniture.

I laughed with this but then thought of my girls & they love being naked.

We have with that idea of nakedness being in room besides toddler currently. Or bathroom but everywhere else robe or clothes.

Ask permission 4 food or to do something in case schedules not work out right then.

Listen & follow directions. I think we had few more but mainly boiled to these.....
