Waffle making question

I'm looking to purchase a waffle maker. Should i get a standard or one that rotates?

Re: Waffle making question

I really like mine that rotates but honesty I don't think it makes much of a difference. I have had one of each and I will probably buy a rotating one if my current ever needs replacing. And completely unrelated- I just bought a Sunbeam mini waffle maker for dd to take mini waffles to school- She loves the mini waffles.

Re: Waffle making question

Subbing... I am desperately looking for a waffle maker that isn't a beast to clean! Mine works well, but I HATE cleaning it!

I've had both and I really like the rotating one because it made amazing waffles BUT it broke after about 5 uses. Sometimes simple is best

please excuse craziness - I am on my phone

Re: Waffle making question

Rotating ones are far more prone to breaking since the wires have to spin too. I have an older belgian and a regular maker that I picked up in a thrift shop. Love both but for different things.

I love the regular one we have. I have never used a rotating one though. I use it for cooking tons of things my favorite is making hashbrowns it makes them so crispy!!

Re: Waffle making question

I have a non-rotating Belgian waffle maker, and love it. It's nonstick and not hard to clean at all - I just wipe around with a damp cloth and it's fine.

Re: Waffle making question

Have never had a rotating one, but I think they require more storage space, so that may be something to consider. Our little basic nonstick one has been working great for many years. HTH!
