My dd is 3 1/2 weeks old and always soon after I nurse so I decided to hold her over the potty and cue her. Well after about 30sec she peed!!! My dh didn't believe I could get her to pee and I did!!! I probably won't try again until she has a little neck control bc it was super hard holding her like that but yay!

Many congrats on the birth of your precious little DD and congrats on getting the 1st catch. They are SO fun and memorable.

You said you don't want to try again for a while because of hold being difficult. What hold did you use?

When my DDers were super LOs I would hold them facing away from me and having my hands under under there knees. The baby's bottom would be resting over the bowl and their heads and back were leaning against my chest. I hope this makes sense.

If I can help you find a better way to hold her please let me know.

Hey there, Kaia! That's really great news! And to add to Ro55ana's suggestion on the EC hold, if it makes it a bit easier, maybe you can try to hold her while sitting back back on the toilet, holding your little one with her back, neck, and head resting against your body. Alternatively, you can try to EC her over a sink by holding her by the thighs and resting her back, neck and head in the crook of your bent arm/elbow. That is, whenever you're ready to try again.
