BW while pregnant?

So I'm TCC #2, and my DS (16 mo) loves to be worn. I wear him whenever we go to a store. I don't let him walk in public yet b/c he won't let me hold his hand, and he often refuses the cart/stroller. Do people BW while pregnant? I was thinking I'd just do it until it wasn't comfortable, but wonder what other people do.

Re: BW while pregnant?

Yup people sure do I wore ds1 while pregnant with ds2 (ds1 was 2 at the time) and I'm now wearing ds2 while pregnant with #3. ds2 is 2 years and 30 lbs and I'm currently 18 weeks pregnant.

HORRIBLE picture of me, but you can see I have ds2 on my back in a woven wrap (rucksack carry with chest belt, but since this wrap is super duper long I also tied under bum after the chest belt) and that I have a bit of a belly going on This was at 16 weeks.

I'm also able to carry with a SSC, I just do it on the back and make sure the clip is below my belly.

Re: BW while pregnant?

I have. Sometimes its just easier to wear the rouge toddler then to chase them.

I normally just use a wrap when pregnant, with a woven on my back. I feel it distributes the weight better then adding anything more to the front.

ODD on back MDD in belly

MDD on back YDD in belly

17 weeks with ring sling (mdd in sling, ydd in belly)

Re: BW while pregnant?

So it seems that a woven wrap is what to use. I was wondering, as I have an Ergo and thought that might be uncomfortable. I haven't heard of a woven- is it like a moby wrap?

I just wore my beco the other day! I am 28 weeks preggo and I wore my almost 4 yr old DS cause he was sick and had a hard time waking up to walk to get his brother. So I thought, why not! It was perfectly fine.

You can certainly try with your Ergo, I use a SSC too at times. A moby is a stretchy and a woven is different to allow a higher weight and back carries

Re: BW while pregnant?

I wore DS2 throughout my pregnancy with DS3 (he was 11 months when we got pregnant, 21 months at delivery). DS3 was 5 months old when we got pregnant with #4, and I wore him up until recently (it's just not that comfy for me right now). I used SSCs, mei tais, and wovens.
