Severely anemic
Ive always been anemic but during pregnancy, it's worse.
Now I am "severely" anemic (low hemoglobin, Low platelets) but also have low MHC and MVC which basically means that the SIZE of my platelets is too small so that makes the anemia worse. I've been taking 325mg ferrous sulfate (iron) for 6 weeks with no improvements. What's the risks of severe anemia while pregnant? Should I push for a Red blood cell transfusion? Thanks ladies for input. I'm sure my exhaustion isn't being helped by this anemia but I'm mostly worried about the baby's development right now. I am 11 weeks 4 days with my 3rd child
