Election Unit Study Ideas?

Has anyone ever or doing this year an Election Unit study? My kids have shown some interest the candidate race this year so I thought it would be a great time to do a unit study on it. I'm just drawing a blank on the creative end of it and not finding anything free on my searches. I did find an election bulletin board set but thats it.

My husband and I are fairly involved with local politics, and we've even had "civic repsonsibilities" discusssions with our kids, briefly explaining voting and paying taxes. My kids are really young, though. My oldest is 6.5. So, I just bought a book about voting.

We are using the Amanda Bennett Elections 2012 Unit Study and filling in our own ideas around it. We are just about to start. There are TONS of ideas on Pinterest!

School house rocks has some songs. I have a dvd election collection but if you go on you tube I'm sure you'll find them.
