Helping Hubby BW Comfortably
Hiya!
We have a 2 week old and since I wore my oldest until she was 4, I knew that we'd do the same with this baby. I haven't had any issues so far (he's a skinny thing so it's been easy, hehe) but my husband just can't seem to feel comfortable in the sling. We have a mama-made ring sling that I had made with extra fabric to accommodate my husband's broad shoulders and height. I'm not sure if he truly feels uncomfy or if it's just a new feeling to him and he was expecting something else? It looks like it fits him fine and the baby is definitely secure in there. Has anyone else had partner issues? Any tips on how to make him feel more comfy while wearing our little dude? Thanks! -Brandi Advertisement |

Re: Helping Hubby BW Comfortably
I rarely see dads wearing a sling. DH will babywear like mad but he is not a fan of slings. I would suggest an SSC like a Beco Butterfly. It is more structured, uses both shoulders. easy in and out, and it has an infant insert. My DH I think doesnt like that there is nothing between LO's legs and it makes him uncomfortable that they may slip out. He will wear a MT, SSC, or even a wrap.
