If you had a hospital VBAC, what did they "make" you do at the hospital?

I didnt actually get a hospital VBAC but labored as if I was (unplanned CSection due to cord issues). . .They had me on the IV for Antibiotics bc I didnt have the Group B Strel test yet, but took the IVs off when it wast going. I was allow to walk around, get in the tub an labor however I wanted. They wanted 10 minutes an hour on th monitor. All in all it was pretty reasonable and very open. I dont know what delivery would have been like but they were so great about the labor I imagine it would have been great. However, I was going through maternal fetal medicine and it was totally up to the on call Dr. . .I know some Drs arent so generous. Also the midwife team in the hospital arent allowed to give freedoms like being off the monitors for some reason? They arent as "high up" as maternal fetal. . .

I went into labor so fast (and at 38 weeks) that I didn't really have time to get any dos and don'ts...My water broke on its own at 11:30pm, and I had my daughter on my chest by 3:30am I wasn't given any real restrictions prior when we talked VBAC, either...I did not do an epidural, but I did get a narcotic (that I HATED and will NEVER get again--nubain). It was fast, intense, but amazing!

I have my first real appointment with a new provider January 3 and I will be 32 wks, 4 days. The head of women's and fetal medicine told me they would have taken me on as late as 36 weeks
