Wrap lengths
Just ordered a Natibaby wrap which is standard length (4.6) according to the website. I'm 5'2", so that should be long enough to do most carries right? Would a 3.6 one be too short to do anything other than a simple cross carry over one shoulder?

Re: Wrap lengths
You are good to go. There are 2 shouldered carries you could do with less but should be able to do everything with th 4.6. I'm same height and do love kangaroo with my size 4, fwiw.

Re: Wrap lengths
Great! Are all sizes the same as length in metres? Like when you say size 4 is that 4m? I'm having a hard time figuring it out

Re: Wrap lengths
No, actually a 4.6m is a size 6, which is the most common starter length. Are you on thebabywearer.com? There are great threads stickied of what carries you can do based on wrap size and your shirt size.

Re: Wrap lengths
You just do different carries with different lengths. I actually like my size 3 and 4 wraps best (3.2 and 3.6m) because they don't drag on the ground. Even with my size 1 wrap (2m) I can do two different carries.
Most people start with a 5 (4.2) or 6 (4.6) though. The longer lengths can be nice when you are learning how to tighten well, though a shorter lengths MAKES you have to learn how to do it quickly! They also tend to have more passes which makes newer wrappers feel more secure. Now I use my size 5 and 6 wraps mostly in the house because I don't like the tails dragging everywhere when I wrap in public. With a size 3 the wrap stays up off the ground.

Re: Wrap lengths
I'm 5'2" and I love size 4 wraps! I can short cross carry, kangaroo, front wrap cross carry tied under bum (instead of tying it in back of you), various rucks and double hammock tied at shoulder.

Re: Wrap lengths
I'm 5'2'' as well and been wrapping for 5 years. 4.2 and 4.6 are my favorite lengths, even when doing just a rucksack (I do a chest belt too so having extra length is good for me). While I wrap with shorty's too, long wraps are my go-tos.

That's awesome input, thanks! I think I want a couple different lengths already, lol. The one wrap I have now is 5m and it seems super long, I can't wait to get a thicker cotton one and start trying more comfy wraps with my little guy
a shorter one definitely appeals to me because I hate tails dragging.
