Re: Should we go back to the emergency room? Update

I agree that it is too late and it will scar regardless, so I wouldn't put him through the further trauma unless it opens back up again. I hope he heals quickly!!

Mom to Greyson, 14

After 12 years of TTC #2, multiple miscarriages, failed infertility treatments, and two failed (not on our end) attempts at becoming foster/adopt parents in two states...we gave up. I stick around for the awesome conversation.

Re: Should we go back to the emergency room? Update

He is doing better except this morning I forgot to give him his ibuprofen when he woke up and daddy gave him a regular sippy this morning instead of a straw sippy and it made his scab open a tiny bit but not enough to go to a doctor but he was inconsolable for a longtime until his medicine started working. Right now he feels fine. But I will have to remind daddy straws only until at least next week.
His stitches on his right side have already dissolved and that side looks much better. I kinda wish that I had gotten the stitches on his left side put back in because I know that it would be healing better. But I know that it will only take extra day or two without them.
I will post a picture when he slows down enough.

I know you don't want to hear this, but I would take him back in. I think you'll regret it in the long run if you don't. I would also take him somewhere that has a pediatric surgeon on call.
