I was gonna say Fodie did that! LOL I gave mine a branch to practice perching on and a bowl of sand to dust bathe after one of ours bathed in the food. They loved the perches! The new babies figured it out when they were 2 days old.

Pretty sure turning off the light is a older bird thing, the babies need to stay warm until they get all their feathers in. I used a white light on my first group and they slept right thru it, didn't seem to mind at all.
