so i have some questions maybe some of you can help me out with...
dh and i have 2 babies, and he 'threatens' he is going to get a vasectomy i dont think he actually will, not now anyways..even though he says he is DONE...im not ![]() anyways dd is 3 yrs, ds is 8 months...he does eat some food, but he mostly nurses still... im on my 2nd 'period' (if u can even call it that) last one i had was like 3 months ago... with dd while i nursed i didnt have any bleeding at all..this is sort of more like spotting though...last time it lasted a couple days, this will probably last the same amount of time..ANYWAYS... i dont want to do any hormonal BC, and i did have paragard after i had dd, i dont want to do that..i really dislike birthcontrol. BUT i definitely DO NOT want another baby right now either... down to the questions, i know i wont really be able to do the temperature charting, because i wake up like 6 times a night (seriously, im not over exaggerating at all)..i was hoping to do more of the monitoring body signals and 'fluids' and also itd be helpful to chart it on the calendar...but im not sure how to do this when everything is so irregular... before i had pretty heavy/med periods..now when i get one it is more like spotting... but i dont want to chance having another baby right now, nor do i want to reply on the 'pull n pray' (which is what we have stupidly been doing) ![]() im not going to lie, even though ds is still a baby and i am in over my head with both kids (im a lone most the time, dh is only home weekends), i do fantasize about having a cute big belly again, and shopping for newborn fluff... what a loon i am...i couldnt do it now, but hopefully dh will want to again some day... anyways help with my uncertainty would be greatly appreciated...i really want to get a book and ive been watching things on youtube..but id prefer something ican go to and look at.. anyways im babbling, TIA!

Re: questions on NFP and nursing...
The Creighton Model is highly effective for avoiding pregnancy post-partum while breastfeeding. It is based only on mucus observations. It can be a tricky time to determine your fertility signs because some women have continuous mucus while breastfeeding, and the first few post-partum cycles can be very unusual (as you're noticing). You can also ovulate even before your first PPAF. That is why it is so valuable to have a well-trained teacher work closely with you during this time to make sure that you can confidently and correctly identify times of infertility and fertility. If you have any questions or want more info on the method, let me know. Good luck!
