Done pumping..help

Im done pumping. Stopped several days ago. I did taper down to prevent engorement. My question is this...there is still milk in both breasts and it feels hard. I feel very uncomfortable. I want to be done pumping. Do I pump or let it ride? I dont want to get mastitis or something crazy.

I would continue to pump a little bit, just enough so that you're comfortable. Them being hard will lead to mastitis. I've gotten mastitis twice just from over sleeping and missing a pumping by a few hours, and I ended up in the urgent care clinic the last time. Please be careful.

I did the same as Kyonarai...I just pumped enough to get comfortable. If I did feel anything hard, I'd pump just enough to get it out. When I was over the weaning part and decided I was done, I went back on my allergy medicine and that helped dry me up quickly

also, get some cabbage and put cabbage leaves in your bra. i know it sounds weird, but it dried me up very fast when i was weaning my son. just change them out several times a day to keep them fresh (i didn't wear them to work, so just in the evenings, and it still helped a lot).

i would say to continue to keep yourself comfortable; pump as needed. let your body be your guide! it will soon get the message. good luck!

Yeah just pump enough to be comfortable. Your supply will dwindle in time
