Ok mammas i need your input

My 15 month old DS and my 3 other kids ages 6, 4, 2 drink raw cows milk. My 15 month old gets terribly constipated if he drinks store bought milk. I trust the farm we get the milk from and my kids love it. Only downside it's $6 per gallon but well worth it.

Getting some today to try for my dairy challenged 15 month old....Did you start out with small amounts and then build up, or just gave it by the cupful?

I did a full cup

My son was 4 and seriously lactose intolerant. If he drank 1/2 cup of milk he would have total bowel evacuation. After 3 months on Raw milk he can drink any milk with no problems.

See that was her. Poor kid seriously didn't have a solid movement until 13 months because we had switched her off soy formula to milk. It took me a month to figure out what was going on.

We drink raw milk in our family and have for over two years with no problems. I plan on giving it to my DD when she's old enough and drank it all through pregnancy. If you're getting it from a local farm whose management practices you trust you shouldn't have any problems. All the raw dairy farmers I know are extremely vigilant about quality control. He's a skinny little guy and the milk really helps to up his calories everyday. I was giving him pediasure, but its so processed and expensive. Now I just give him chocolate raw milk. He can totally tolerate pasteurized milk now too, which is nice for when we're visiting family or eating out. Raw milk has been a blessing to us. Just make sure you're getting it from someone who knows that they are doing.

Yeah the farm is very good. They have been around and selling raw milk for years.

Be happy it is only $6 per gallon for you. Out here I can only get it at the health food store and it is $8 a 1/2 gal. So $16 per gallon. YIKES
