It was just an echo from the placenta, which is in the front, so one baby. We're still plugging along.

Late to this but I was going to say that my last two both had "two" heartbeats. Both were singletons. Little boogers have their Daddy's sense of humor even in utero!

We only have one in there this time (ultrasound at 20 weeks confirmed this) but we sometimes get two heartbeats, one is from the baby and the other is the placenta. You might have a high placenta

just wanted to reply to share my excitement for you! i've been online 'around' you for years and have suffered to hear of each of your heartbreaking losses...are you doing anything different w/ this pregnancy?

Prayer, folate, baby aspirin and progesterone. I'm not sure what made the difference, although I'd lay odds on the prayers by everyone around us.

Congrats on your pregnancy!!! Have you been checked for gene mutations and blood clotting issues? I ask because of what you are taking. I'm on heparin shots. Additional folic acid, and was on progesterone for 18 weeks.

Yes, I have been checked for everything, my husband has been checked, one of the babies had an autopsy, placenta checked- zilch wrong. All perfect. They just died. Since the doctors couldn't give me an answer, I did what I felt led to do.
