Adding to this thread...

All of mine came naturally, in their own time and I completely understand how you feel.

1st: 38w3d
2nd: 40w5d
3rd: 41w6d

I keep asking myself how I get MORE pregnant every time. Eventually I'll be pregnant forever! I am 38w in the morning and my hope is that this one decides there is nothing to prove by making me even more pregnant than I've ever been. With that in mind, I'm still expecting another 4 weeks out of this one.

Fool me once... yeah, we all know how that one ends!

I just resigned myself to the fact that I was going to be the first woman to be pregnant for forever. That evening, my water started leaking.

Still here too, though behind you, but if you recall, I was thinking/hoping I would deliver right around now.

Right now, I'm feeling like my body is gearing up to push eject, but I'm not there yet. I really don't want to go to 40wks. I really don't. I'm scared of how big this baby will be.

Re: This is just CRUEL.....

Mine were : 36, 36w5d, 38w5d.

I thought #3 was gonna kill me. Even my OB thought it was funny. FTR, My first 2 were almost 7lbs, and went home with me at 24 hours. #3, was barely 6#! He was healthy, but we were ALL expecting an 8 pounder with me going so much longer.

Re: This is just CRUEL.....

I can relate. My first was 36, 2nd was 38+3. With #2, I felt I needed to be ready at 36w, then spent then next 2 weeks twiddling my thumbs--and you can believe I was an emotional mess with nothing to do!

I'll be 32w tomorrow, and this time, I know better. I'm holding off and dragging my feet with just about everything. I'll still be prepared at 37w (planned HB) because my labors tend to be really quick and intense, but in the event I end up pregnant beyond 38+3, I'll have knitting, sewing, and NaNoWriMo to occupy me.

Re: This is just CRUEL.....

Oh sheesh!! I was coming here to complain myself but I'm 40 weeks and 6 days. I think I take the cake. There is huge brain growth and development that occurs between 37-40 weeks. Even though babies can be healthy if born early, they truly benefit from those last weeks. My 2nd came a week early and now this baby is the latest I've had. I guess there is no pattern to it...
