I would not worry too much as long as it is still positive. i bet the sensitivity of the test varies a bit

I really wouldn't worry, mama. When I first started taking tests, mine varied in darkness. This REALLY scared me because I had a chemical in April of this year. I was around 4-5 weeks when I first started testing.

I'm now almost 9 weeks pregnant with a sticky little bean.

It can vary based on how dilute your urine is, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. Now, if the line disappears, then you might worry. But as of right now, that second test still definitely looks positive.

Congrats again! And FWIW, those beers you had really won't make a difference at this point - just don't go having a bunch more!

The placenta doesn't start forming until 6wks (why m/s seems to hit then) and doesn't fully take over until close to 12wks (why m/s slackens for some then). At this point, the baby is feeding off the yolk sac and not getting anything from your body.
