I am so sorry. Hoping you find a $$ solution and that this go-around is successful.

My DH is hosting a poker night here this weekend, which I think I mentioned before. Well, last night, he mentioned that he wants to play out in our sunroom, which is like a finished year-round porch at the back of our house. Makes sense because it is away from sleeping kids, etc.... The trouble is that is is cobwebby and needs to be cleaned. Plus, the bunny cage, hamster and random toys are out there.... Sigh. How clean does a room NEED to be for men to play poker in, really?? DH will help, but has a busy week, so I want to peg away at it. The bonus is, then it will be ready to turn into a playroom area for the winter after poker night.

I have some serious fall cleaning to do this week, as my sister and her soon-to-be fiance are coming to visit this weekend, so I need to get the house ready. plus, our holiday of Sukkot started today, and I still have to get our sukkah finished, the budget isn't done for October, and we are behind where I was hoping we would be with homeschooling, so I need to readjust the plans. all in all, I feel behind the 8 ball and pretty grumpy about it.

take it easy on yourself Mama. Let the cleaning and homeschooling slow down a bit while you take care of your self emotionally.

Re: SAHParent/Homemaker weekly chat thread 10/1-10/6

Good morning everyone!

This morning the kids and I will read together a bit and I'll get them started on something hands on... then I'll tackle the dishes left over from making banana bread last night. Really need to catch up on laundry, I have about 4 loads that need to be folded and put away, and another 2 to wash.
Bigger goals are; I need to declutter my house a bit and make it homey and comfortable again instead of cluttered feeling. We have friends comeing in 2 weeks to visit and they are super minimalist, so the presures on! Also need to take our vaccuum apart and clean it, see if that gets it working properly again.

Hope everyone has a great day

I'm probably going to be the saddest source of motivation you've ever come across. I actually started the overhaul because I ordered DH and the minions new wardrobes last week and there's no way they're going to fit in the closets in their current state.

Throw a couple of jack o' lanterns in there and call the cobwebs Halloween ambiance.

I woke up 5:00 this morning with a splitting headache and a naked toddler vomiting on my head. Fabulous!! Someone want to remind again me why I had kids? Seems that the vomiting was a fluke, as aforementioned toddler gives all indications of being hale and hearty now. Guess I'll be doing some laundry today.

good afternoon!

Keysersoze, I'm so sorry for you

I just got the kids down for a nap so I'm laying down. My house is kinda a wreck right now, DH was able to come home yesterday afternoon and he took care of the kids and a friend brought us dinner. But yeah, the laundry is a bit piled up and there are toys everywhere and its driving me crazy so I'm sure I'll be running around picking stuff up by the end of the afternoon!

Re: SAHParent/Homemaker weekly chat thread 10/1-10/6

Mostly productive day today! Got most of our class work done, the rest we'll finish this evening. I got a ridiculous amount of laundry put away, a goodwill bag started and tons of things added to a box to be give to my neice. Added tons to the FSOT on here, added tons to the online fb yard sale page. Sold some items, whoo hoo!

Still would like to;
add to the goodwill bag
have to clean my moms this afternoon
clean up the school room a bit
put away laundry thats currently washing
take pics of more items to list for sale
drop off a bag at goodwill
maybe bring a box of clothes to a friend

For relaxing today I'd like to get a letter written to a friend and send her the gift I made her daughter forever ago

This week I want to majorly declutter my house. We have friends coming for a week and this place is cluttered as it is, I need to clear out a bit
