Taking a newborn home
My sister had her baby today and we have an Evenflo Discovery 5 infant seat (with a base) to take her home in when she gets released. I checked each of the vehicles we might be taking the baby home in and neither appears to have LATCH. Is there anything I need to know about using a seatbelt to install the seats in the vehicle for my sister? Also, is there anything we need to know about harnessing the baby that I may have missed? I already know about getting the straps tight enough, no bulky clothing, and keeping the chest clip acutally on the chest. TIA!
