Nursing and libido

wow it is so nice to feel like i'm not alone. i really haven't felt like it at all since the baby was born 4 months ago. i basically wait for dh to initiate, and then put forth the effort cause, you know, it's not his fault, he deserves some lovin but mostly i just try not to fall asleep until he's done. i'm that uninterested. it really sucks. i'm sure it was like this after ds too, but i honestly just can't remember when i got "it" back. probably sometime after he weaned. i didn't get my cycle back until then either. and i TOTALLY know that my libido goes up every month around ovulation. there's definitely a connection. it's hard to tell if my lack of interest is because i'm not "o'ing" or if it's just cause after working all day, and then coming home to have a baby hang on my boob all evening, along with a clingy 3 yr old, i just want to scream "STOP TOUCHING ME!!!" when dh tries to get frisky

Oh yes, my body screams DO NOT TOUCH ME! It has a baby on the boob and a 3 and 4 yr old hanging off it. Then the 15 yr old wants to talk and DH and I talk. I am just people'd out by bed time, which is also earlier for me than DH. I am in bed around 8 PM and he around 12 AM. If he even thought to wake me then for DTD, he would die...LOL! Plus, we co-sleep so the baby is in the bed on the boob.

I have had no sex drive at all for 11 months. My poor Dh

I found my sex drive came back when AF came back at... I think it was 11 months? So maybe hope for that? I am still nursing DS, he's 18 months now.

I am on baby #3 and found that until 6 months or so, I was completely uninterested. After 6 months, it stopped being painful and my libido slowly came back.

With #1, af came back at 4 months. With #2, 11 months. So it wasn't so much affected by ovulation. With baby #3, I am interested (at 8 weeks pp), but far too painful (and dry) to be any fun.

Mine started coming back around 12 months, right around the time AF returned. Before then I had absolutely zero desire. None. At this point (almost 18 mo) it's definitely not back to normal, but I'm seeing glimmers LOL. I think of it as very effective natural birth control

Oh my gosh, I thought I was alone. My babe is also 8 months, ebf, and I just have no interest in dtd. It's becoming a problem in our marriage.
