Re: C/S Question

I guess I'm lucky... I had my (emergency) C/S in Aug 2010 and it has never been numb or sensitive. The scar isn't really visible unless your looking for it and other than the scar tissue underneath it feels normal when i touch it.

In the sense of it not being visable I can totally relate. Mine is a pencil line sorta, below my bikini line. I can wear a bathing suit perfect or a thong and it isn't seen! But I wish the sensitivity would go away!

Re: C/S Question

My scar was very bothersome (numb, sensitive, tingly) for a very long time (I also had severe residual epidural/spinal pain/sensation) but I didn't realize until your post that my scar hasn't bothered me for awhile...my c/s was in Oct 2008 (planned/for a 10+lb baby). I hope this helps you, I would still talk to the doc about it, if I were you.

Re: C/S Question

The area below my belly button was numb for good year after #4. I've read that it's pretty common. Sometimes it comes back and sometimes it doesn't.

I'm almost 4 years post c/s and still have sensitivity there. It's not necessarily painful but it's more of tingly, sensitive to heat/cold, and yes, PITA to shave over. It's not terribly bothersome and I've had relief when it is really bothersome with arnica gel. It's all natural and does seem to help. My doc also recommended massage and she said you can relieve some of the sensitivity by rubbing it with a wet washcloth in the shower. At first, that feel horrible but over time, it's helped and gotten better.
