santa or not to santa?

Do your kids believe in santa? I never did, but mostly just bc my mom always let us help wrap each other's presents. I don't know if it is something that I agree with and I don't want to lie to my child, but at the same. Time I don't want him to miss out on childhood. Help? Btw he is only 6mo right now, this is for future reference.
