s/o Christmas tree. Live or fake

Live tree! I hate fake trees. Real trees smell like Christmas!!

We currently do fake. We had done live for years, buying from a local tree farm. But when the tree farm was shut down, we decided that it did not make sense to buy a tree brought in on a truck every year, as the eco-friendly factor of buying a tree from a farm was cancelled out by shipping on a truck. So we bought a fake tree and have used it ever since. I believe we are on Christmas 7 or 8 (or maybe more) with this particular tree.

I prefer live b/c of the smell. HAVE to have that real christmas tree smell!

Fake. I've never had a real one and have no desire. I hear they're a mess, they're expensive, and I don't like the way they smell anyway. No thanks! Lol

Fake all the way

Real trees have real needles that really fall off and have to be really cleaned up, plus real sap. Also, my real cat might eat the real needles, which would really make him throw up and I'd be really angry and really have to clean it well. Plus, the real sap might get caught in his real fur, thus having to be washed or cut out. Really.

Add that to the fact that they are somewhat expensive and would need to be purchased every year.

No thanks on the real tree. If I find myself needing the pine scent, I'll buy a candle.

I marked "both". Some years we can afford a real tree. Some years we can't, so we pull out the fake. Also, some years we were in apts that would not allow a real tree (fire hazard)

We do both. We have a fake table top tree that we do advent calender with, adding a decoration until Christmas. We usually get our live tree from my parents property in AK. Since we have moved, we have been buying a fresh tree locally. They smell so good!

We have two fake trees. I have had my largest one for over 10 years and scored a table top one in black a few years ago. It is easier for us and my LOs love helping me put it together.
