At what age did you start to trifold your prefolds into covers?

I exclusively trifolded GMD oranges for the first 3 weeks of my son's life. His poops were small and almost never got on the cover. After that, I started using a snappi. He is now 3 months old and I like to trifold GMD yellows. He is starting to get too big for them, so it is usually easier to trifold. I just have a lot of covers on hand

We trifolded nb prefolds starting about 3 weeks (when we started full time cding). Her poops were few and far between when she was really little so we hardly ever got poo on the covers anyway. It was really convenient when she just peed a ton every 20 minutes and made it easier for DH and visiting family to change diapers. Snappis just confused people (even though I think it's easy peasy)

Not until 3-4 months or so. I much preferred to snappi them because it contains messes better and is trimmer. But when my LO grew out of her yellow edge GMDs and I couldn't snappi them anymore, I started trifolding. I really don't like trifolding PFs for some reason, I actually prefer padfolding flats if I'm going to lay something in a cover.
