If you had a hospital birth - did they allow pushing while squatting?

I was allowed to labor how ever, where ever and was told I could deliver however I wanted. My MW said she would just catch the baby where ever I delivered it. That lasted until while pushing we found out she was breech. Then it was back to the bed.

Because the OBs I work with wont deliver anywhere except the bed, and if you're crowning the OB should be there.

No because I had an epidural But they would have allowed it otherwise.

I had an epi with my induction, and my nurse helped me squat on the bed using the squat bar. Like stand up and squat down just like I would on the floor.

I ended up with a cs anyway (DS was 10lb 12oz) but the nurse was super helpful with helping me change positions, and they let me
Push and rest and keep trying and resting and trying for 5 hours before finally calling it and having my cs. I feel like I got the support I needed and got as fair a shot as I could have given the circumstances.

I used the squat bar with DD1, who was born in a hospital with an epi. I pushed for an hour against a numb bottom, which was super frustrating. Finally they put the squat bar on the bed, looped a sheet around it, propped my feet against the bar and had be pull the sheet. She was born within minutes of pushing that way.

I wish I had a picture of this way and of the way another mama explained it up further (sounded similar that she could hold the pushes in between)... I'm trying to picture it and can't see what the sheet is doing/where it is.
