Help! Friend losing milk supply quick, and baby only 6 weeks old!

If baby can get a good, deep latch (which can be difficult with a tiny newborn), then inverted or flat nipples don't really matter so much. Can she get some in-person help from a really knowledgeable person, like an IBCLC or a LLL leader?

Also, Dr. Jack Newman's videos are really helpful for seeing a good latch.

Could baby be tongue tied? This happened to my ds, he lost weight really fast too until we figured it out. Also, the inverted nipples shouldn't be that big a deal if baby is nursing well and latching well. I had one side that was inverted and within a week bfing "fixed" it.

same thing happened to me. i was pumping exclusively because ds1 wouldnt latch and i ended up drying really quickly. i think if she can work with a LC to get her baby to latch she can build her supply back up. the pump just doesnt stimulate the breast the same.
