Extremely tired- normal?

It's been so long since my others nursed (DD 1 and DD2 are 8 and 6) but dd#3 is about 5.5 months and EBF- and all of a sudden I'm exhausted ALL THE TIME! Is this normal?? Should I get in touch with my midwife and see about starting up my prenatals again?

I had that happen and it was my thyroid. I would go in and get your thyroid checked. It is common to have issues after having a baby.

Thanks! Looked it up last night and as usual webmd is the worst creation ever. Always think in reading into things in hindsight. I did gave occasional heart palpitations and hand tremors when DD was around 2 months. Did you experience those symptoms with your thyroid issue also,

The heart palpitations were the reason my doctor finally listened to me and I was diagnosed and started medication as soon as my test results came back.

Thyroid problems are very common pp. Some women need medication for the rest of their lives. Others only a few months.

Yes on occassion. I was so tired and listless though I noticed very little. I wanted to sleep 24/7.
