My Mood:
What age to start back carries?

So I have a woven wrap now and I am wondering what age to start back carrying? My youngest is almost ten weeks. If she is able to be back carried now what carries do you recommend? I have never back carried before with my others, they were all in slings or carried in the moby up front. Looking forward to trying it

Re: What age to start back carries?

I started back carries when DD was 4 months but you could do it earlier. I found it easier to get her back there after she was able to support her neck and back better. We did rucksack a lot back then before moving onto double hammock

Hi Tara! As soon as you are comfortable. Reagan was on my back at 12 days old. I really like a double rebozo tied at the shoulder for security and ease when they are still little.

Re: What age to start back carries?

I've never tried a back carry with an infant, but I personally would wait until my baby had really good neck control. I have a baby that is almost 3 months old and I wouldn't put him on my back yet, but I'm not an experienced baby wearer! If I were more experienced, I might feel differently.
