When to Nap & Night Train w/ 3 Day Method?
If you tried the 3 day method (the Julie Fellsom version), when did you attempt nap and night training? Or if anyone did day training before nap or night training, when did you try it and how long of a process was it? Is there any benefit to delaying nap training a few weeks as long as DD isn't holding pee in for nap times? Thank you!

Re: When to Nap & Night Train w/ 3 Day Method?
When we started potty training we started nap training within a week of beginning day training. I waited at least a few days for my son to get take it all in. He did great and didn't have many nap accidents (he was about 2 years and 4 months, I believe) I did not start night training though until he started waking up in the morning dry fairly consistently. He was reliable during the day and during naps for several months (like 6!) before I considered night training. It was a full year after beginning day training before he was reliable at night time. I think part of it may depend on the child's age. For example, if you start day training at 2 years the night training may take longer than if you didn't begin day training until age 3. I hope that helps!

Re: When to Nap & Night Train w/ 3 Day Method?
we did 3 day method and did naps/night at the same time. I think it was a different 3 day method though, she specifically said do not do diapers at night or nap. I will add though that my kids woke up dry most often by 12 months, so I wasn't really worried.

Yeah, my LO still soaks her night time dipe and we've never had a dry nap dipe either, but I know that might be b/c she knows she can pee in a dipe, so why wouldn't she? So I'm guessing you didn't have a lot of accidents when you nap and night trained since your LOs were dry so often. So jealous. I'm thinking we'll have a ton of accidents, but maybe I should start the process sooner rather than later.

We did a different 3-day training and our method says to ditch diapers totally from day 1, but we didn't. I just don't believe in trying to night train a 2-year old since some kids just physically can't wake up when they have to pee at night. We did ditch diapers for nap time right away, though. DS has been day trained since Feb., will be three at the end of this month, and is just now tending to stay dry all night. We did switch from (cloth) diapers to (paper) pull ups for nights, and we call them 'nighttime undies.'
