Re: Even when you save you just can't win

I really need a car. I have been thinking about getting a Honda Accord. Could I buy yours and make PAYMENTS. I would love to be given a car right now or even make interest free payments without having to carry full coverage. What a brat!

I'll be honest - reading your update made my stomach turn. That kind of expectation and behavior literally sickens me. I really hope your DH doesn't change his mind!!!!

So proud of your dh! My dh is from a similar culture where you are expected to care for all family members and until this year he has always had the weight of the world on his shoulders regarding his family. My mil blew up at him and said he had never supported or helped them and he hasn't spoken to her since ( it was untrue as I cannot count how much we have done for his family) but it really showed my dh the truth in that he needs to care for his wife and kids first , the family that he created.

WOW, your husband is really coming into his own as far as protecting and caring for his family on a very mature and serious level. I'm proud of him. You BOTH work way too hard and sacrifice too much to be treated this way. You can sell that car for a few hundred dollars and put the money in your emergency fund.
