Rumparooz newborn covers...snaps or aplix?

So, I'm having trouble deciding on snaps or aplix for my Rumparooz newborn covers. I really like the snap Kawaii's I have for my older ds, but I'm hearing that newborns could be a whole new story. So...please share with me the pros and cons of snaps vs. aplix on a newborn (fwiw, ds will probably be in the 8+ lbs range when born). Thanks so much
