I love my cloth wipes at home ( single layer flannel) but I can't seem to make it work for the diaper bag. If I do a change out and about I either toss the wipes there or wrap it in the diaper. When I go to do the wash i open the diaper and I throw the wipe in a trash can next to my washer.

Re: Fluff w disposable wipes

Thanks ladies for the info! I think I am going to try to convince hubs that cloth would just be simpler... But I think using sposies won't be the worst thing ever if he can't be convinced. If nothing else I can use cloth for my changes and he can deal with sposies for his changes lol.

One more quick related question... How many cloth wipes do you have? I plan to do diaper laundry every other day. Possibly every day if it really piles up. I already have 12 or 15 that were super cute from etsy. But I bet I will need more than that. How many do use for a poop? NB EBF poo to be specific!

Re: Fluff w disposable wipes

I would estimate 2 per poop 1 per pee. I think 30 wipes would be a good start and keep some sposies for back-up until you are sure you have enough.

Re: Fluff w disposable wipes

I have been using cloth off and one for 5 years and have never used cloth wipes. Even when I was exclusively using cloth with my oldest I still used disposable wipes and just kept a small garbage can next to the changing table where a diaper pail would have been.

Yeah, I use disposable ones and just wash them and then toss them. We use them for everything...I think I will be buying wipes long after I have kids out of diapers. That's just me

Re: Fluff w disposable wipes

We use cloth at home and disposable when out. When using disposable wipes I put it in the wet bag with the diaper. When I do diaper laundry I dump it all in the washer and take out the wipes if I see them/remember. I only wipe ds if he's poopy so there's only like one or two wipes in the load for us. If I don't remember, I see them before they go to the dryer. I like this system because I can never remember to get cloth wipes ready on the go, and the disposable pack lives in the diaper bag.
