Does anyone here have a vintage stove in their kitchen?

I really admire them. A lot.

I'm wondering how practical one would be though?

I adore this one:

If anyone here uses one I'd love to know what you like/dislike about it!

Nope. But I love Rachael rays! Haha

http://www.lauriegorelickinteriors.c...=1327989937207 except orange I think.

Actually now that I'm thinking. My great aunt bought a historic home to redo. And there was a olive green stove from the 70s in there. She used it for awhile. Gas and broiler was fine. But she couldn't fit certain cookie sheets or pizza stones from pampered chef in because it was so narrow. Idk if that's the norm or just what hers was?

sent from my iPhone. excuse all typos

My aunt had one even older than that for years. We were just talking about it and she misses that thing. Apparently once you get used to how it works, its awesome.

I think they're super cute.

They make vintage "looking" stoves that are actually brand new and work just as efficiently as other newer models. I would LOVE to get one, as well as an apron front sink and a vintage looking refrigerator with the rounded corners. *swoon*

No, but I want a Big Chill fridge! They are cute, I think they have stoves to match.

ETA, I think that's what Rachel Ray has.

Re: Does anyone here have a vintage stove in their kitchen?

A good family friend had one. I loved it from day one. So did she. She had her counters, etc. built around its dimensions. The only downside I heard from her was that she had to sell it with the house, because it wouldn't fit in the space in her new home. I would buy one in a heartbeat if I it fit in with the style of my house.

I like the replicas too, but they are insanely expensive. My great grandmother still had a wood cook stove in her kitchen when she died in the 80's. She didn't use it anymore but it was still there. I would really love one of those.
