Re: Moldy diapers

Thanks for suggesting the bleach! It worked already! Some of the spots got lighter and some spots are gone. I am gonna do a second run in bleach.

I hearf oxyclean or lemon juice & salt. Look up in search. That's how I got those two things to try.

Re: Moldy diapers

OP-were you able to contain more mold from growing? I have BG Elementals too that are brand new (less than 2 weeks) and I'm seeing tiny black spots on diapers. Just a couple here and there, but more and more diapers are getting them.

Make sure your washing machine lid is always open between uses, even toploaders, so it can totally dry out. Mold loves to grow in dark damp places and can transfer onto clothes and diapers. My mom's toploader had mold hiding in the water hose because she insists on keeping the lid closed when it is empty (which is much of the time) and ruined a bunch of my kids' clothes washing them there.

Re: Moldy diapers

I saw you bumped my old thread but I'll post here so you can see it. Mine happened to a swaddlebees simplex, but I washed with bleach, then I used a qtip, dipped it in bleach and held it on each spot and it made the stains go away. The simplex had white birdseye anyway, with the bge's it will bleach the unbleached color, but I'd prefer bleach stains to mold probably... If you just keep washing with bleach though they should lighten anway.
