soup help

I would like to throw together a cheesy cauliflower soup for dinner. I though you ladies could help.

I have a head of cauliflower, butter, milk, lots cheese (cheddar, colby, mozz), flour, chicken boulion cubes, and spices. Can I make a soup with this? or any easy suggestions I have a pantry full of stuff but was trying to use my head of cauliflower tonight.

Googling:

http://allrecipes.com/recipe/cauliflower-cheese-soup/

http://southernfood.about.com/od/cro...p/r/bl50c9.htm

Now I'm sad I don't have any cauliflower.

Re: soup help

Those are good links! You could also use it in place of broccoli in broccoli cheddar soup, so I'd just search out well reviewed recipes

Re: soup help

I already have chicken and dumplings planned for tonight. Tomorrow However will now be cheesy cauliflower soup with dinner rolls. I saved one of the recipes to my recipe box.

Re: soup help

Those all includes things I don't have. I googled "easy cauliflower soup recipes" beforeI posted. DS2 is allergic to potatos so I can't include those either. I just made some fresh dough for bread that is rising. I think I will make a gravy with butter and flour and milk. Add cheese and some bouillon cubes and water and then the cauliflower and season to taste. I'm hoping it turns out ok.

That's what I use, I brown the butter, add same Amt of flour, maybe a Tspn or two, making sure you're stirring the whole x so it doesn't burn.

When that's all toasty smelling I add milk (the amount of soup u want, so I'd fill the pot 1/2-3/4 full) medium heat, I'd add the bouillon and spices cauliflower and cheese. When cheese is melted and cauliflower is done voila!

Oh I'd add salt, peeper, thyme and nutmeg maybe a dash a cayenne pepper

Goodluck, I'm sure whatever u make will be yummy
