Meconium and cloth
does it wash out like ebf poop, or does it need special treatment? Is it easier to just use sposies at first? Thanks mamas (and daddy's if there are any here!)

Re: Meconium and cloth
What type of cloth? I have friend that did prefolds with colored edges & covers & she said it was fine. I have one size pockets so not sure. I think I'm gonna try liners 4 that part. I started at 6 months with my second. Not sure on her washer type & all. I have another friend that did d'sposies then switched but still d'sposies for doc visits & travel. I have traveled with cloth fine. I have been looking for old sheets (another neighbor) suggested or old shirts since ours are wipes. Or even I think I'm gonna use old daddy underwear since we are going to be throwing away because holes in them & thinning.....good luck.I will be watching for others inputs for pockets on this subject.

Re: Meconium and cloth
It washed out just the same if not better than EBF poop. There weren't even any stains to sun out.

Yep, washes right out! If you're concerned, you can just put a cloth wipe in as a liner.

Re: Meconium and cloth
Yea! I've never done cloth on a nb. Now I'm thinking I might be tempted to do cloth from day one... I wonder how the hospital will take it.

Re: Meconium and cloth
Washes right out and no stains. DS2 we started in the hospital first diaper and we didn't say anything about it. DH just pulled the diaper out of his pocket and put it on him. They didn't care and baby rooms in so I changed all the rest of his diapers.
