Mirena and weight gain?

I have Mirena. My only side-effects have been irregular spotting and spotting after sex. Other than that, it has been the best BC I've ever had.

I had to pay $300 last time I had it taken out! I tried to fight it, but they wouldn't budge. Even though it took 5 minutes (or less), it had to be billed as an operation procedure (or something like that). I was SO MAD! There's no way I'd be willing to pay that again. I'll pull it out myself if it'll cost that much!
