I'm really considering this stroller, but gun shy after getting a "dream" stroller that I rarely use. I can never fold it. According to the baby store in town, the city select is the most popular one they sell. But, it costs more than my first car (admittedly a POS, but still)

I live in a place with lots of outdoor activities, bad winter weather and need a quick in and out of a car ability. Any thoughts on if it will work for me? I have a toddler who will be 30 months when new baby is born in Jan.

Ds was 27 months when dd was born. We put him in the lower seat and her in the upper. Now that they are 2 and 4 it's reverse. It's easier to push with the heavier child in the top, but definitely doable with the heavier in the bottom. For reference ds was 37 inches and 32 lbs at 27 months. He is now 42 inches and 40lbs and sits comfortably. I like that I don't have to use the second seat for quick trips or when he is in school, but that I can use it for boring shopping or a full day at the zoo, Disney, etc. for folding, you pop of the second seat and pull the fold tabs on the side of the stroller and that's it. Less than 2 mins on a bad day. To open, it just unfolds and clicks in place practically by itself. Then you just sit the second seat in its place and it clicks. The basket is huge.
We have nasty winters and super hot summers here. I've never had a problem in any condition. We have taken it everywhere from malls, pavement, trails, and never had a problem. And if you have trouble fitting it somewhere small, you can disconnect the wheels to fit with just pushing a button. I went to Disney with a friend last week and we had luggage for 2 adults and 3 kids in the back of a sedan and I just popped the back wheels off and stored them elsewhere to make it fit.
Can you tell that I more than super sparkly heart this stroller??? It's seriously the best decision that I have made. And to keep the cost down, I ordered the second seat kit from www.pishposhbaby.com and the stroller from eBay. The whole combo was $400, and I'm hoping to sell it for close to that later this year, since my 4 year old rarely rides anymore. But I've also thought about buying the buggy board so he can just stand and ride when he's tired.

Reg price is over $200, but we have a Graco Quattro Duo. It handles really well and has lots of storage. It folds with one hand and fits in a sedan trunk (at least if fit easily in my Altima). Back seat can lay down like a bassinet, or either seat can take a Graco bucket. I lucked out and found a like new one on CL for $75. I think at that time they were $273 new. Haven't checked the price since 2010. It's nothing fancy, but I get stopped all the time by mamas to tell them what stroller I have.

I have this double jogging stroller.http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS.../chrisficti-20 It's hard to find, but they do sell it on amazon. Most double jogging strollers are side by side which makes them almost impossible to use in stores, but this one is a tandem so it's no wider than a regular stroller. It rides really smoothly. It's pretty heavy, but most doubles are. I really like it!

love it to pieces. It fitts through every door I've encountered, including single doors in restaurants. My girls like holding hands and sharing snacks so we needed a side by side.

We got a Jeep Wrangler double stroller It was lightweight and got the job done. It was a side by side. I much preferred the side by side design, so that I didn't feel like I was pushing a bus. I could see where the wheels were as we were going.

The stroller was wide, but it fit in every place that was wheelchair accessible. So, every store I frequented and all the bathrooms, it could also fit into the handicap stall with me which was so nice I didn't have to try to juggle the kids if I had to potty when we were out somewhere!

It was $100 new at BRU. It folded up, much like an umbrella stroller and didn't take up too much room in our Prius.

we have a double side by side jogging stroller with a swivel wheel that can lock to be a fixed wheel. i absolutely LOVE it!! i did NOT like the idea of a sit-n-stand stroller or a front and back stroller. I really wanted a side by side one because we go on walks almost everyday and all the front and back ones i saw were very hard to maneuver. mine glides effortlessly and is easy to push on tar, gravel, bumps, woods, puddles, whatever. the downfall of a side-by-side is it can be hard to squeeze through a doorway or in an elevator, but generally speaking if it can fit a wheelchair it can fit a side-by-side stroller. mine is an Instep Safari Swivel Double Jogging Stroller and we go it at a camping/outdoor store.

I just bought a Eddie Bauer Transit double stroller off Craigslist... It folds like an umbrella stroller and had stadium seating, light weight, large canopy, fits my 43lb 5 year old and my 26lb 2 year old (and my 6mo). But it doesn't have any storage space at all (so I made two bags, one to go on each side of the stroller). But it's going with us to Disney next week so that will be the real test!
