Karyn, I really enjoy doing the class especially with my friend telling me about the huge improvement of her son at home so I prepare for it. Dd also loved the class and having someone to learn with not just the 2 of us. This week we are doing Columbus theme with geography. Today the kids role played being explorers so we made a compass and I gave them mini binoculars to watch out for land. They used it to watch the planes and helicopter land and take off . We also made paper boats and raced them in the tub. They remembered the names of Columbus' ships. friday we are going to a park nearby that had a huge pirate ship they can slide and climb. I'm going to say its a galleon though. It also has mountains kids can climb and a mini river.

Does anyone have problems using the DS app? It always have error on me. I seldom turn on the desk top and the only time I can go on DS is when I'm in bed getting myself sleepy while I knit?
That sounds like some awesome hands-on activities!! What a great way to learn!

The DS app always craps out on me. Most times the pictures take forever to load and occasionally when I post it will give an error message, but if I just cancel it, my post still shows up. I can still post pictures from photobucket links though.

Re: KAL Oct 7-13 *Knit the funk away!*

I just had bacon, turkey, L and T w/mustard on toast. It sounded good all day but I didn't feel like making it, the craving took over though. It was yummy. I am going to have one of my pumpkin desserts from yesterday now. It iwll be a different experience cold...I'm not sure i will like it as much w/o the melty choc chips. I may heat it up in the micro after I take a few bites.

mmmm dessert! Its only 8:10 AM here

IMHO, I'd go elbow length (3/4 or so)..I likey that length and it wouldn't cut your arm in half...but take it with a grain of salt...I have many sweaters that length in this temperature.
